Choreographer Ruben Chi delves into the heights and depths of silence and solitude with his work Solitude. 2020, the whole world stood still for a time, and what Chi did most of all then was listen. He heard only his own voice, literally and figuratively. When you look within the silence, what do you see? Do you dare to step into that silence, or do you run away from it?
Solitude is a confrontation with yourself that takes place in silence. The solo is danced by Joley Groeizaam, who performs hip-hop choreography in an expressive manner.
